Gospel : John 1:29-34
29 The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
30 This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.'
31 I didn't know him, but for this reason I came baptising in water: that he would be revealed to Israel."
32 John testified, saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.
33 I didn't recognise him, but he who sent me to baptise in water, he said to me, 'On whomever you will see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he who baptises in the Holy Spirit.'
34 I have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God."

1 John 2:29--3:6
2:29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
3:1 See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. But we know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is.
3 Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4 Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.
6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him and doesn't know him.
